2012-02-17 [Flisky]: Oh, because the back story wasn't posted yet, Jerrit was an actual half elf rogue at one point, but was killed while on a mission with Rhen. She took his identity, so he does actually exist.

2012-02-18 [Avaz]: That comes with the territory. Unless you're one of those changelings that, uhm, there's a term for 'em... the ones that only assume one form and keep it. And there's another term for the ones like Rhen.

2012-02-18 [Flisky]: Those are Passers. Rhen is a Becomer. There are also Reality Seekers, but those are a whole different kettle of fish.

2012-02-19 [Lord Josmar]: ...Wow, I just realized that I know nothing about Changelings, lol.

2012-02-19 [Avaz]: Man, they're fun as fuck. I played one in the campaign before last with my group. And I made sure only the DM knew I was a Changeling. One of the guy's characters in my party really hated them, so it made things interesting trying to keep my identity a secret. I had set up a couple identities and even went so far as to create conflict between them, so the group wouldn't figure anything out.

2012-02-19 [Avaz]: Yeah. To make things more muddy, because I knew that the other players knew what the racial power is (this was a 4e game), I played a bard multiclassed with wizard and sorcerer so all my spells and powers were hard to figure out. I loved the mystery aspect of it.

Of course, it's impossible to play that way here, since we all know what we all are. But it's still great.

2012-02-19 [Lord Josmar]: I love it when characters have really awesome secrets that no one else knows about either IC or OOC. Only been in a few games with that. I knew a guy who was running a game and two of the players were together and so their characters where together and during some ingame down time their characters had sex so the DM had them roll and the girl wound up being pregnant and went into labor nine months later in the middle of combat.

2012-02-20 [Ravenclaw]: One of my NPC's was being a dick to Jc's gnome once. He rolled to see if he could find anything to play a prank on the npc. He rolled high enough and I said he found poop thistle. He rolled knowledge and got like a 18 so I said his character learns that it's the most potent laxative known to the province. He proceeds to successfully hide and follow the NPC till he sits town in a pub where Jc's gnome successfully spikes his ale with the herb. Jc rolls for side effects and gets a nat 20. The NPC proceeds to evacuate himself with such velocity that it rips out the back of his britches and in such volume and stench that it causes a random cacophony of vomiting in the pub and surrounding street.

And your bard fellow student was angered by your master favoring you over him and so he was murdering young elven girls and framing your master so he would get executed. When you showed up he knew that he had to act quickly to bring about a creature powerful enough to finish the deed, but in his haste was destroyed by the creature when he summoned it.
